Did anyone else in the Borderlands community get an email for a shift code for a max level legendary weapon?

It came from Borderlands. I'm gonna put it in tonight. This is the first time I've ever gotten an email from them about it.

Even stranger, it's the Rowan's Call. And before u got the email, I was telling myself I need to farm for it for FL4K.

What actually makes us shift?

Nothing. Yup you heard that right. Literally nothing makes us shift. You don't even have to try to shift, to shift. People have shifted even when they didn't know about shifting. They have shifted even when they didn't believe in shifting. People have shifted regardless of what they see, think or feel. The question is how? You think, "When I'm trying so hard how can they all shift so easily?"

Because it's our nature. It's incorporated in our being. It's our existence. You can't try to be something you already are. I don't think you understand properly. Shifting for our brain is the same as breathing is for our body. It is the way things are. It's that easy. The only reason you think it's not is because you're conditioned to believe that way. The good thing is shifting doesn't require belief. It requires your existence. And you're existing aren't you? That's all you need.

Nothing else matters. Nothing else can ever stop you. Because even if you think you're not shifting to your DR, you're shifting to a reality where you haven't shifted to your DR (yet). Awareness is always shifting. Your awareness is always switching between realities. The question is, is your conscious mind able to realise that? That you're constantly shifting? Without your conditioned beliefs coming in the way? Can you?

The only thing you need to do is know. I say that quite a lot. And I don't mean that know that you'll shift. It doesn't even have to mean that know that you're in your DR (even tho you are). It's just the realisation that no matter what you think or feel, shifting is something you're always doing. You're always existing. No matter where.

That's all you need. Forget about being in your DR for a second. Forget about trying any method. Sit with yourself right now. Look around you. Feel your breathing. That's shifting. This is what shifting is. Not the symptoms, not a sudden change in the physical plane. Just breathing. Going from one breath to another. Changing awareness with your breaths. This is how easy it is.

Return to your core because that's all there is. From a moment to a moment. That's you. That's how you shift. Don't look at the physical plane as rigid or think why isn't it changing. Breath and know that change is not something you do but something you be.

So trust yourself. Trust that you can shift because really, that's what you've been doing all your life. Shifting is not something you discovered. Shifting is a realisation of already being. There is no shift greater than you and no method stronger than you. A creation cannot escape it's creator. Shifting is your birthright and it was always will be.

Now, stop holding on to something that is literally you. You're grasping shifting desparately, wanting and full of need. It's not going anywhere. It's you. It goes where you go. Does what you do. It's yours to hold, to cradle gently and experience. You're the root it grows from. As long as you're here, it'll grow and grow and grow. With you. For you. As far as you want. Shifting and you are the same being. One cannot exist without the other.

Realise, be and shift.

thinking about the night shift reactions to finding out he’s been stealing benzos and honestly i think in the two minutes they take to bitch to each other about it before they decide they give no fucks ellis and shen are like. so embarrassing. caught out by an intern on her first day. kid couldnt even treat methemoglobinemia. fuckin day shift. and then they go do a forty minute stemi or something.

I was already so used to the routine that I had in my fame dr; waking up in the morning in a mansion, going for dance and singing practice, eating whatever I want ( because I scripted that there's no such thing as "bad" foods) to flying in a private jet, endless vacations, performing at the Grammy's!!!! And in concerts.

I can't explain the feeling I felt after experiencing all that high only to come back to where I'm just a normal student. After I woke up I expected it to be 2-3days after the night I attempted to shift. But it was only 10hrs. It's weird 10 months there 10 hrs here. When I woke up I stared at the wall for an hour plus because even after I've shifted before this was the 1st time it actually hit that I was in another reality doing what I didn't have a chance to do here. And how powerful we are to be able to literally travel the universe, like it's honestly fucking amazing!!

But still in a weird way I won't complain, because if it wasn't for this reality I wouldn't have even discovered shifting in the first place.

when patients are upset or nervous about their blood being drawn, sometimes i'll say "oh, don't worry, our vampires are extremely good at what they do." generally it works to relieve some tension or at least as a pause in the anxious build-up because it's absurd enough that the brain goes 'panic time? pani- wait what. that isn't in the script. hang on, hang on, stall the panic engines for a sec we need the power to run the logic centers again'. yesterday i said that many times. worked pretty great each time.

however.

towards the end of my shift, patient comes in with two family members. i get them checked in, during which this happens...

me: "What brings you in today?"

patient, brightly: "I need blood!"

me: "Oh, are you feeling a little hungry? We can..."

me, slowly processing those words: "...help........with....that."

patient: "My doctor yelled at me to come in because my blood is apparently lethally low, so-"

patient's family member A: "Did you just ask if she was hungry?"

me, slowly dying inside: "yeah, i- sometimes when people get their labs drawn i'll tell them don't worry, our vampires do excellent work, so i just"

(during this I am putting on their ID wristband and also apparently making inarticulate gestures trying to explain the whole mess)

me: "i am sorry, that was not a professional way of greeting you. please have a seat, the nurse will call you in a bit to finish-"

pt family member B: "do you guys have a cafeteria? Is it still open?"

me: "no, it isn't-"

pt family member B: "or i guess you'd call it a blood bank, right?"

me: "i...we...do have a cafeteria. it's not a cafeteria right now. i mean it is a cafeteria but the kitchen- there's just vending machines. and microwaves. it's down the hall and the second hallway on the right side."

pt family member B: "is there ice cream?"

me: "mayb- no I think there is, actually."

me, internally: you have 38 fucking minutes left of your shift fucking reengage brain and deal with it

while i am checking in the rest of the evening rush i hear the patient greet family member C. family member B comes back at about the same time, gesturing triumphantly with a frozen snickers bar. faintly i hear family member B saying something like "none for you, sorry, no type-B popsicles." family member A and patient start laughing, family member C is clearly taken aback.

family member A: " oh yeah (patient)'s real hungry for bluuuurd, that's why we're here."

patient: "I went up and said i needed blood and she asked if i was hungry, you know, like a vampire."

family member B: "it was great!"

The butterfly effect does NOT affect scripted scenarios (I've nothing to say).

The night is never completely dark, you can see a little, like in the series, it doesn't matter if there is a new moon (most of my realities are dystopian and I don't want to find anything I don't want as a surprise because I can't see).

I have a very strong mentality; gore doesn't affect me (maybe zombies and stuff). I can't be traumatized; situations may affect me in the moment, but they don't pose a mental problem in the future (because I'm such a baby).

In my apocalyptic realities I have cassettes with all kinds of music (I couldn't live without it).

My period lasts two days at most and is always painless with little bleeding (girl, my DREAM).

I can't get pregnant unless I want to (I don't even have to explain that).

There's no miscommunication or unnecessary drama between my friends and I—we solve everything by talking (trauma ahh script).

I sing well and my voice is always on key (I don't care if it's not my fame reality. I want EVERYONE to ask me to sing so we can have good moments).

TITLE: shifting is instant BUT ALSO i fell out of the Doraemon universe and saw awareness doing ballet so....

alright enough blabbering. let's get into why i said a shift isn't 'instant'. because yes i landed straight in the Doraemon universe but then i CAME BACK and saw awareness doing backflips around me to return me from the cartoon world with the blue raccoon uhm... cat to my current reality.

so get in loser (lovingly), we're going shopping (on a quest for knowledge).

it all started a few days ago. on a very peaceful evening when the vibes were crisp, i laid down to take a nap. there was a tiny whisper in my head that what if i shift during this little endeavour? i was like yeah okay cool. not clinging. only allowing.

NEWSFLASH: i did shift. being locked inside a picture book while waiting for Doraemon to free me was definitely not the vibe i was going for but i'll take it. so this universe to that universe, smooth shift, very expected.

BUT

on my way back? whole another story.

i didn't just wake up in my bed. i floated. i saw the in-between. this weird floaty, liquidy transition layer where awareness wasn't just me anymore- it was moving, changing, becoming. a space between realities where awareness has decided to become something and is morphing into it.

in this case, it was my current reality.

that's when it hit me -

Shifting IS instant - but 'instant' is a PROCESS in the 3D.

we're so used to this overused idea of shifting: "i affirm = i arrive". but what actually happens is:

you decide, you align and then awareness becomes the thing. that becoming can feel like everything and nothing at all. because becoming is just unfolding within yourself. you breathe and breathe and you "become". before i bore you, it's just vibing with yourself.

here, your 3D is catching up with what you already ARE. that's the moment where you can blink and be in Doraemon's living room or blink and feel like the most unreal version of yourself ever.

so no, shifting isn't always instant in a "blink and you're in a new life" kind of way. but it IS instant in terms of your being deciding to shift. the rest? that's the transition. the remix. the unfolding.

and guess what? even if you don't feel this floaty liquidy moment like i did, it still happened. your awareness still became the shift. you shifted because you became the shift. it happens everytime. this 'layer', this 'becoming' is what your awareness does for the physical to show your desires. you might not catch it. but it happened. it was real. it is what 'instant' is.

the truth is:

awareness doesn't teleport. it becomes. and you're already the version who shifted. you're just watching it click into place.

this may sound a little strange but when it comes to the utmv fandom and in universe meta aware characters interacting with ones who aren’t aware, I like to approach it more from like a religious or spiritual belief standpoint. so like, to others, characters like killer and ink seem either really religious or spiritual (ink) or really superstitious/religious/indoctrinated (killer). ink believes in creators, but to killer, those creators are actually more like players.
